U.S. Congress : Support HR 553 to Redesignate Gravelly Point Park as Nancy Reagan Memorial Park
Former first lady Nancy Reagan dedicated her life to service and charity. She touched the lives of millions of Americans, and her legacy will continue to inspire many more.
We, the undersigned, believe it is fitting to honor her legacy by renaming Gravelly Point Park as Nancy Reagan Memorial Park. The park is adjacent to Ronald Reagan National Airport. Please join us in honoring this great woman by passing Rep. Jody Hice’s bill (H.R. 553) to rename the park after her.
To U.S. Congress:
In March of 2016, the nation mourned the passing of former first lady Nancy Reagan. Mrs. Reagan led a life dedicated to service and charity. Known for her passion for fighting alcohol and drug abuse, she has touched many lives, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
The United States has a long history of honoring and preserving the legacies of presidents and first ladies by naming schools, parks and public spaces in their honor. We think it is only fitting to rename the park located next to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Gravelly Point, in honor of Mrs. Reagan.
U.S. Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) has introduced H.R. 553, a bill that would rename Gravelly Point Park as Nancy Reagan Memorial Park.
I urge you to honor Nancy Reagan by co-sponsoring H.R. 553 and pushing for its passage in the 115th Congress.
