Millions of Americans have received surprise medical bills
in the mail weeks, or even months, after receiving emergency services at
in-network facilities, sometimes for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
This unfair practice must end - but Obamacare 2.0 is not the answer!
Letting Washington, D.C. bureaucrats set prices around the country will do
nothing to fix the problem - it will just make healthcare worse.
Join us to demand that your members of Congress act to fix this problem, not
with bigger government, but with solutions that actually work and will keep
taxpayer and consumer costs low and predictable!

the petition, you agree to have an email automatically sent to your lawmaker on

To U.S. Congress:
As your constituent, I write to urge you to help stop surprise medical billing. It is simply unfair to punish patients for longstanding payment disputes between providers and insurers.
Congress needs to act to end this unfair practice - but it needs to do this the right way.
Solutions to lower healthcare costs, including ending surprise billing, should not involve government rate-setting or price controls. Washington, D.C. bureaucrats can’t be trusted to make these important decisions about our healthcare.
I encourage you to work toward solutions for surprise medical billing like those proposed by Senator Cassidy that protects patients while leaving doctors and insurers to work out their differences. Price controls from Washington, D.C will hurt patients and lead to worse healthcare for everybody.
