Victory! Proposition 61 was successfully defeated on the CA ballot on November 8, 2016.
Fellow CA Taxpayers : Stop More Health Care Bureaucracy
This petition is now closed.
Prop 61 is a
deceptive proposition that would jeopardize patient access to needed medicines,
result in more bureaucracy and lawsuits that cost taxpayers millions and could
hurt veterans by increasing their prescription drug costs.

To Fellow CA Taxpayers:
I am urging you to oppose Prop 61 – a deceptive prescription drug proposition that would cost taxpayers millions and put government bureaucrats between our doctors and us.
While this measure may sound simple, Prop 61 is vague and contains no guidance on how to implement it, resulting in more government bureaucracy and more red tape as state agencies struggle to implement it—costing taxpayers millions in the process.
Additionally, the controversial promoter of Prop 61 inserted language that would give him a special right to intervene in any post-election legal challenge, and would require the state – and taxpayers – to pay his legal bills. It is a virtual blank check at the taxpayers’ expense.
California taxpayers deserve better than paying millions in lawsuits and having government bureaucrats come between them and their doctors. That’s why I OPPOSE Prop 61 – The Deceptive Rx Proposition.
