Hollywood Chamber of Commerce : Repair and Protect President Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame Star!
Left-wing vandals have repeatedly defaced and destroyed Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On July 25, a man smashed it with a pickaxe, totally destroying the star. This is far from the first time that someone has taken it up on themselves to destroy this mention of the President. Trump’s star has been defaced multiple times. Interestingly, vandals have not targeted the stars for Bill Cosby or Kevin Spacey. The Walk of Fame exists to preserve Hollywood history, on which Donald Trump has certainly left a mark.
To Hollywood Chamber of Commerce:
President Trump is the second President to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ronald Reagan was the first. Both of these men made contributions to television and movies long before they pursued elected office. Their stars are part of American cultural history, and the Walk of Fame should protect Trump’s star from politically motivated vandalism.
We ask you not to let the vandals win, and not to rewrite history. Activists are trying to have the star removed officially. Instead, we’re asking you to stand firm by protecting Trump’s star, and fully restoring it in instances of vandalism.
