Fellow Veterans And Their Families : Help Defend Veteran Benefits
This petition is now closed.
Prop 61 is a deceptive proposition that could increase prescription drug prices for veterans. That’s why more than a dozen military and veterans organizations oppose Prop 61, including Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Department of California and Vietnam Veterans of America, California State Council.
To Fellow Veterans And Their Families:
I am urging you to oppose Prop 61 – a deceptive prescription drug proposition that could eliminate the special discounts on prescription drugs that the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) receives on behalf of our nation’s veterans.
The VA and pharmaceutical manufacturers negotiate special discounts for the benefit of veterans, retirees, active duty military and their families in recognition and appreciation of their dedicated service to our country. But this deceptive proposition could eliminate the VA’s ability to provide veterans and their families with these special discounts. Tens of thousands of veterans and their families in California could face increased prescription drug costs.
That is why more than a dozen military and veterans organizations oppose Prop 61, including Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Department of California; Vietnam Veterans of America, California State Council; AMVETS, Department of California; American Legion, Department of California; and Military Officers Association of America, California Council of Chapters.
Our veterans have sacrificed enough and deserve better. That’s why I OPPOSE Prop 61 – The Deceptive Rx Proposition.
*By signing the petition, I give authorization to list my name publicly as a member of the No Prop 61 - Californians Against the Deceptive Rx Proposition coalition.
